Visiting the Royal Armouries in Leeds is an engaging, informative and transfixing experience and we are looking for someone to join the team that enables these moments! 

The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire. 

Not only is this site the home of an incredible range of unique collections, but it is also approaching what promises to the most transformational phase of it’s journey yet..! The Royal Armouries in Leeds is about to embark on a multi million pound masterplan and we are looking for someone to play a key role in the delivery of this phenomenon! 

The Role 

We are recruiting a Trust & Statutory Fundraising Manager to develop and implement a trust fundraising strategy for the Royal Armouries capital and revenue projects. Duties will include:
  • Researching, preparing and submitting effective, high quality funding applications
  • Creating and maintaining a dynamic case for support and developing compelling funding proposals
  • Managing and developing relationships with new and existing supporters to ensure long-term relationships
  • Supporting the design and delivery of cultivation events

The Person 

To be considered for this role you should come to us with knowledge and experience of trust fundraising and have a proven track record of producing high quality, compelling trust and statutory grant applications. You should be a strong and confident communicator able to form and maintain relationships with partners and supporters and develop prospect pipelines. You must be passionate about the work of this incredible organisation and be committed to the Royal Armouries’ values and approach to inclusion and diversity.
